At the heart of Axom Decor Threads is a quiet dream—one that began in a small home filled with stories, silks, and memories. A dream born from the deep love a mother held for her culture, and the way her daughter carried that love into the world.
Padma Barua has always found beauty in the simplest things—a woven border, a timeworn gamusa, the way certain colors feel like home. Her respect for Assamese tradition and her quiet strength inspired the soul of this brand
Her daughter, Dr. Himadri Barua, grew up with those stories and textures stitched into her memory. Though her path took her through science, medicine, and public health, her heart remained rooted in that same love. With time, she felt a pull—to return, to create, to preserve.
